Fishing zones
The Tolmin fishing district, managed by RD Tolmin, is divided into two (2) fishing districts: District 1 and Catch and Release District.
Fishing areas
FISHING ZONE I
- Soča River: from the Čezsoča bridge near Bovec to the entry point Srpenica 2
- Soča River: from Napoleon Bridge in Kobarid to Kamno bridge
- Soča River: from Volarje bridge to Volče bridge
- Soča – LAKE (Most na Soči): from the confluence with the Tolminka to the confluence with the Idrijca and Bača rivers, and to the dam in Podsel
- Soča River – below the dam: from the dam in Podsel to the district border at the confluence with the Vogršček stream
- Učja River: from the state border with Italy to the confluence with the Soča
- Nadiža River: within the territory of the Republic of Slovenia
- Bela River: from the bridge in Breginj to the confluence with the Nadiža
- Tolminka River: from the dam at the old fish farm to the confluence with the Soča
- Idrijca River: from the dam at Slap ob Idrijci to the confluence with the Bača
- Bača River: from the outflow below the Bača factory in Podbrdo to the confluence with the Idrijca
- Koritnica River: from the confluence of Huda and Žventarska gorges to the confluence with the Bača
- Kneža River: from the confluence with Proščak to its confluence with the Bača
"Catch and Release" Zone
- Soča River: from the entry point Srpenica 2 to Napoleon Bridge in Kobarid,
- Soča River: from Kamno bridge to Volarje bridge,
- Soča River: above the confluence of the Soča and Tolminka rivers to Volče bridge,
- Idrijca River: from the bridge in Stopnik near Šebrelje to the dam at Slap ob Idrijci,
- Tolminka River: from the source to the dam at the old fish farm, except for the section of Tolmin Gorge, where fishing is not allowed,
- Trebuščica River: from the confluence with Jelenk to its confluence with the Idrijca.
All other rivers and streams are protected waters where fishing is not allowed.
If you enter Fishing District 1 in your fishing permit, you may only fish in that district. If you enter Catch and Release District, you may also fish in District 1, but you are not allowed to keep any fish.
