In the heart of the wild Soča
We preserve nature and live with the river.
Tolmin Angling Club
Along the banks of the emerald Soča River, where nature still sets the rhythm of the day, we have been active for over 70 years. We are a community of dedicated anglers, river guardians, and lovers of unspoiled wilderness. We manage one of the most highly regarded fishing districts in Europe — a paradise for fly fishermen, nature explorers, and everyone seeking an authentic experience by the water.
MARBLE TROUT
A symbol of the wild beauty of the Soča River

The Marble Trout (Salmo marmoratus) is the queen of our waters – a unique and indigenous species found only in the Soča River basin. Its characteristic marbled pattern and silver-gray color reflect the clean, wild flow shaped by the Alpine valleys and karst depressions of the Soča River Basin.
The Tolmin fishing family has been actively involved in the conservation of this exceptional species for decades – through careful management, breeding of juveniles and protection of its habitat.

All rivers
under our care
Under our protection lies one of the most beautiful and diverse fishing areas in Europe. Rivers such as the Soča, Tolminka, Idrijca, Bača, and Koritnica, with their purity, strength, and biodiversity, offer exceptional conditions for sport fishing. Each of them tells its own story, shaped over millennia and intertwined with the lives of both people and fish.
